Sarah Palin's son involved in 2 child custody disputes

Tennessee residents may have heard about Sarah Palin's son Track. In January of the year 2016, he was arrested for domestic violence assault after he allegedly punched his then-girlfriend in the face and threatened her with a gun. Now, she is seeking full custody of the baby that she had with him.

This child custody issue comes at a time when he is still involved in a custody dispute over his firstborn child. Palin's ex-wife has fought to retain full physical custody of the former couple's 4-year-old daughter, and Palin is now only allowed to spend four days a month with his daughter. The court did not grant Palin any overnight visits with his firstborn.

Since his second child has been born, the court has become aware that the child's mother was pregnant when she was assaulted by Palin in January 2016. The domestic violence incident occurred at Sarah Palin's home on the same day that she endorsed Donald Trump for the presidency. When Sarah Palin was asked about the incident, she said that her son's behavior was caused by post-traumatic stress disorder from his military service in Iraq.

Child custody disputes can become especially complicated when there are domestic violence allegations involved. An attorney may be able to help a person who has been assaulted by their child's other parent to petition the court for a restraining order and full child custody. A restraining order may also order assailants to vacate a residency if they have not already done so.
