Alimony Bench Book

Mr. Byrd has read and studied every divorce case since 2000 for his work on the Alimony Bench Book, a publication used by judges statewide. This book is updated annually by the Divorce Code Committee, a standing committee of the Tennessee Bar Association (TBA), Family Law Section.

Mr. Byrd was an original member of the Divorce Code Commission, which proposes, drafts, and approves every piece of family law legislation in Tennessee.

The Commission's recommendation sets the standard for family law legislation in Tennessee. That standard is a tribute to the fine lawyers, judges and legal professionals in Tennessee.
